Forest Life

Forest Life

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

Rays of sun embrace the forest

Rays with the brilliance of tear drops

Kiss my sleeping face

Tall, proud trees gaze through the open window

As the wind serenades with a tragic song

I rise

Emerald grass is light under my bare feet

Flowers are my only ornaments

Wild berries ask to be picked

I am certain

That soon the sweet lisp of children

Calling, singing

Will reach me

Across the distance

This forest life

Is poetry

Oh i am sure this life is all poetry
i see the sun throught the drak green leaves ,they fragment on tear drops
how proud i feel to be among all this ,this green grass and a wind that never stops to sing
i am sure all with light hearts will call after me..in the distance of this forest i see, some real life
how i was tempted by these words ,how i loved to tell them again slow so i feel the music in it all
lovely write..

This is enchanting. I love how you personify the forest--it is a living, breathing entity of which you are a part. The wild berries ask to be picked. The trees are proud. The rays of the sun kiss your face. And "the wind serenades with a tragic song"--I know exactly what you mean, though I have never quite thought to put it into words, myself. Love love love that line. :D

I am a sucker for nature poems, but you touched on another theme that is dear to me: children. Children have a sense of wonder that many adults lose over time...but their voices reach you, calling, singing...This is a beautiful combination of themes...love it!

:) Thank You Blues...how lovely...I love forests...trees...the soul truly relaxes in such a setting...one feels the essence of life...one escapes...I see You feel it...lovelyThank You :)
Oh Alan..once again You dazzle me with Your words...I am glad it offers You refuge from this modern world, if only for a moment..how ungracious these times often feel...how superficial..bereft of spirituality..yet all it takes is one rendezvous with the trees...a poem..a sweet word..and we grasp our purposes once again...how lovely to find those who perceive :) Thank You:)

sounds sublime...your spirit manifests as words that rise to transport me to place of their intentions...they glow....open / bright / floral / effervescent and overflowing with more than mere observances of the true nature of things under the existential sun...your work always leaves a strong / positive impression...this piece is not exception....of course...i will come back for more...i will always find my way back to the places that offer me oasis and sanctuary from the often blistering heat that modern times incur upon a soul...
