smooth ride were going to let it slide from my head down to my feet

smooth ride your going to make the climb to shine all in its time

haters maybe lovers under cover but why should we even bother

made his primere right out on the strip but no one gives a s**t

March madness filters through the sadness amidst the gladness

but i must confess why back with Mellie Mel & the furious five

thank you Jesus i'm still alive going along for the ride we hide

Jagged edge was his name on his way to fame & can't be blamed

filter through the noise of this rap game going to sound the alarm

for he was once born in a barn not to be harmed until a gypsy took him away

living in tents in the desert for years burning tears with a host of cares

as he grew older he got a little bolder at the ripe age of ten he stole from a friend

he was on the hunt as he got back to the city getting a bit busy

something in side of him couldn't help holding it in a new way to begin

new he was blessed to rap as a man but no one gave a crap so he left the gypsy scene

feeling a host of vibrations amidst the temptation gravity homeboy got capped in the knee

society wasn't used to Jagged Edge so he would run from place to place trying to fit in

until he finally landed that record contract then he was in full effect

now he was on top didnt't have to bribe a cop cause this homeboy do think a lot

got every girl to keep riding his jock having the world by the string

East coast west coast that's how he rule with the Holy ghost making the most green

Society can be so very mean if you want a taste of the music scene

until he met his maker he knew it was the right creator

now instead of busting a nut in a rut cause he don't give a f**k he raps about life with some added spice.

Finally got this rap game locked cause his beats mean a lot coasting through the scene

Burning rubbers with his lovers working under cover but not in any trouble

Makes his Martini strong like on the double with rocks boogy down to the socks

falling back on his a*s no one gets by on any free pass we need to last
