A hawkeye

A hawkeye

A Poem by Haim Kadman
"

A poem

"

She has an ey

on any break,

She’s a hawkeye

my poker player.

She’s a great hand!

She sweeps the pot

with her hands,

and so delicate they are

A smile lights up

on her lips,

Enchanting, heart captivating

Are you out of dough?’

She asks so charmingly.

You may leave

for a short while

I’ll review the situation

Meanwhile,

and I do wish,

You know…

But go and fetch

a few more bob,’

Okay.’ I replied,

I’m on my way

A bank to rob.
