To Reflect

To Reflect

A Poem by H.L. Cerveise

To Reflect

Oh, light upon the bedroom wall.
Are you an omen or a blessing?
Or are you just a reflection?

Minutes go by and still you are there.
Should I be scared or assured?

I can not turn my eyes away.
So much is happening to me!
Are you trying to guide?

Slowly you fade away.
Mind knows you are but a reflection.

I cry and reach out!
A voice from the dark responds,
It calms me as we reflect upon our woes.
