Ramblings in the Hospital

Ramblings in the Hospital

A Poem by Courtney Hough

I hear the beeping form the machine,

The smells of medicine and flowers.

Laying in this gown,

My body losing power.

Its been like this for years,

And I’ve told Doctors for years.

Instead sent to negative tests,

As problems fell on deaf ears.

And yet here I am,

The E.R. with the same request.

“Somethings wrong we know,

But we need to do more tests.”

Wearing their coats,

Clicking their pens.

“Come back when it attacks,

We’ll see you again!”

My body is dying,

I think its mimicking my soul.

I wonder how much longer I have,

When will I pay Death’s toll?

Writing is easy all you do is sit down...and bleed. Imagery is the best way for me to express how I feel, nothing is better then getting to know a different side of yourself. Poetry pulled me out of t.. more..
