Flicker, flicker, flicker
In the darkness of the night
Run down the fragile wick
And give ease to all my frights

 

Flicker, flicker, flicker
Give off your healing heat
Gentle fire, crackle
Whisper your secrets to me

 

Flicker, flicker, flicker
Cast your ghosts upon the walls
But cast out the voices
Echoing in these halls

 

Flicker, flicker, flicker
Don’t die now, precious flame
Offer me your comfort
Make me whole again

Nice flow and the sounds are could. Give the whole thing it's own rhythmic pattern. Sort of tribal feeling. I enjoyed it!

Ooh, I like. The "flicker, flicker, flicker" could get annoying to some people, probably, but not me. I like the your descriptions, word choice, and content. I think my favorite stanza is the third one. Good job!!

Candles have a way of being very mysterious. It seems when the flame is lit in darkness it gives you that warm feeling that keeps your mind and body relaxed throughout the night. This poem is really nice.
