A Little Too Hyper

I'm just a little out of my mind.

I’m a little bit hyper
Sort of bouncing off the walls
Too much caffeine in my bloodstream
Maybe some sugar, too
Maybe that last cup of coffee shouldn’t have been had?

 

…Nah.

 

I’m a little too hyper
To sit at this desk
I’m tapping my foot on the tile
And annoying tip-tap tip-tap
I think they hear it downstairs

 

…Oh well.

 

I’m a little too hyper
I’m running in circles
Endlessly
Hope I don’t crash into that tree

 

I’m tap-dancing to my own tune
Singing loudly in my room
High on sugar and caffeine
They say I belong in a rubber room
I don’t know why anyone would think that.

 

 

They think I’m insane
I know I’m just fine
Just a little bit out of my mind
What's that you say?
They’re one in the same?
Oh…I guess that fine with me.
