Madrugada, Ven / Dawn, Come

Madrugada, Ven / Dawn, Come

A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

Haiku written in Spanish. English translation with it. The stars call the sun...

"

La luna brilla
Estrellas llamen el sol
Madrugada- ven.

---

The moon shines
Stars call the sun
Dawn- come.

Author's Note

I had to write a haiku for Spanish extra credit. I really liked how this came out, and I'm writing a few more to add into the project. The syllables don't work out in English, but I still like how it sounds in both languages.

My favorite spanish word is la luna.... I think its very beautiful in the haiku. And I love the imagery :) nice job!

It's sounds so beautiful in Spanish, it doesn't matter that I can't understand it. And in English it sounds wonderful (who cares if the syllables don't work). It so nicely shows the transition from night to day, wonderful.
