Hair!!!

My Hair!!!

when my daughter was young

and I'd tuck her in at night

she'd latch onto my head and would'nt let Go

"Oh Mommy your hair is so soft"

and it it!

my hair is very fine

and soft as baby duck feathers.

today I dropped off her overnight bag

to her at her friends house,

handed it to her over the backyard fence

she hugged me over the fence and ruffled my hair

and asked her friend to touch my hair

her friend said "why" she said "just do it"

and when she did she said "oh, it's so soft!"

and my daughter said " now why didn't I get those hair genes!!!"
