A Poem by hypochondrita
"

It's always been you

"
Don't worry your restless eyes, dear
If it ever comes down to you or me
My ending will be near
Just promise
You'll let that extraordinary hidden soul
Fulfill the universe's lungs
Make yourself heard,
So I know that it was worth it
To give up my time left.
If that's what it takes for the world to discover
The magic behind that soft skin...
I won't mind being over.

Of course, It's way easier hypothetically
Theoretical promises rarely mean a thing
When humans and their messy desires haunt reality
I don't know if this idealized scenario
Could actually apply in real life
Then again...we might never have to find out
One way or another
I don't know how far these words go
But, trust me, they're well intentioned.

I loved reading this, especially "It's way easier hypothetically, theoretical promises rarely mean a thing"
You've put poetically what is a blunt truth that a lot of people seem to forget. I'm looking forward to reading more of your poetry. Keep writing :-)
