Red Confessions.

Red Confessions.

A Poem by i.am.the.sun.

as i lay bleeding
blood filling the cracks
in the chipped tile floor
you lay here beside me
smiling,
bleeding more.

and as i drift away i see
both our tears leaking
out from our hearts to our eyes
from our eyes to our blood.
it was a miracle in disguise.

you move your shoulder
stretch your elbow
and grab my hand
we'll hold eachother forever now,
no matter where we land.

our red confessions do not slow
like high tide at sunset
it just creeps closer
then mixes together
in silent splendor.

i look in your eyes
looking at me,
reflecting in both of them
our crimson sea.
and i know.
we're ready.
