Why is the world filled with double standards

People strive on lies

and breaking hearts

turn around and preach

loyalty

love 

and loneliness 

Why complain

when you had it all

then threw it away

on a hunch

because of fear

you threw away everything you ever wanted

everything you'd ever need

and now you want to complain

now you want "something real" 

when you had it all along
