Tus Manos (Your hands)

Tus Manos (Your hands)

A Poem by Erin
"

English couldn't accurately describe my feelings.

"

Tu Manos:

Smooth as silk;
Soft as a whisper,
You brush.
My light is absorbed, and renewed
True pink your palm learns.
You are a dream.
A thought;
A pulse of colors
And a shadow in my mind.
Cease speaking, thinking--
we are alone
In each other’s silence

I hear your kiss; a secret told.

And we exist in this mist.
Our hands make love,

An intimate touch.
Tracing, exploring each knuckle,
Fingertips melding, warmth seeping and sharing.
We grasp--
And fit perfectly.

God now I feel so sappy but at the time it was oh so true.

You seem to have a talent for elegantly capturing a moment, and then eloquently placing feeling to it. Nice work!

Although parts of this are vague, the entire poem strikes a strong visual...memories perhaps. Anyone who has not made love with their hands in their lifetime is missing out! Kissing and feeling are a huge part of a relationship. I love the sensations this poem brought to the surface of my heart!

Fascinating: "True pink your palm learns"
maybe a little sappy, but idea of hands making love is pretty nice. The ending, however, is perfect!
Cheers! XD

A nice poem. Very nice job using imagery. writing like this is often found on Hallmark cards, so you should definitely send it in. I believe that this is a true romantic poem, and it is written in a very nice style.
