The Just Desert

The Just Desert

A Poem by Erin

Flashing Colors
Delicious Feeling(s)
Going through my brain.
Burning cinnamon;
New insiration is thy name.
Feel the bittersweet tug as it all goes.
Hold your breath,
Feel the eyelash tingles.
Everything stops in a breath
Drink it up--
Fill your pitcher,
Saturate yourself
'Til your desert returns.
Bright sterile lights,
Rapid words--
hurryhurryhurry

No time to waste,
Must make haste
As your moment evaporates.
The world turns--
As you stand still.
Day makes its descent
Mirages cover and take
As your dehydration begins.
