'Look' Before You Leap...

'Look' Before You Leap...

A Poem by Karan Modi
"

Looks Can Be Deceptive

"

Beauty lies in the purity of the heart and the chunks of goodness you manage to spread,

No matter how dashing you are; old age and wrinkled skin will make an appearance in your life too,

Be happy and content with everything you have; what about those lakhs of people who can’t even afford a slice of bread;

How do people manage to measure whether an individual is ugly or grotesque merely on the strength of his external appearance, I have no clue.

We generally tend to judge people from their worldly possessions and external appearance,

However, Once the impact of the make-up begins to abate, the actual personality of a person will make it to the forefront,

That’s when they’ll be left all alone with no one available to smell their fragrance,

It may be too late at that moment to realise that good deeds are the only indicator; by then you may have already bore the brunt.
