A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

A person poem about what I learned from my dad.

"
Step by step
A child follows their parents
Step by step
From the moment they start walking
Step by step
They learn from their parents
Step by Step
As the child grows older
They rebel, fight, and get in trouble
Step by Step
I followed my dad
Where ever he went
Step by Step
I learned from him
As He, himself
 step by step
Followed all his days
The Lord His father
Step by step
I learned from him
Step by step
God's love, His word
Step by step
My Dad taught me
Step by step
until the day
 my dad passed away
I learned from my dad
step by step
I followed the footsteps
Of my dad
After his death
Baptized into the body of Christ
Step by step
I now follow my Lord Father
All the days of my life
Just like my father did.

Thank you. It's close to my heart
A sad and beautiful poem. We do follow our parent in thoughts and life. I like how you use the description leading the reader to the very good ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
