Where are you?

Where are you?

A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

A longing poem to a lost lover

"

No one misses the me

Like you did

Before the wind changed

Thats when blew away

My has world stopped

Ever since

I am nothing more

Than a puddle

We were perfect

You begged me

To come with you

As you traveled

Doing what you loved

I told you no

I had a dream

But the day you left

I realized my dream

Was you

Ever since you left

I had dreams of the way

We used to be

The thought of you

Has haunted me

Your The reason I am still

Here to day

You made me promise

Even if my life got bad

I couldnt die

You promised all those

years ago

That you would come back for me

Here I am

The question is

Where are you?

Ohhhh Liz...this is wayyy too painful. Making a decision then realising it was the wrong one only to suffer terribly with an aching heart.
Thanks for sharing.
