Not Theirs

To bid farewell is my quest

To create a gap like east from west

For I had been asked to do my part

Not to break anyone’s heart

Questions arising from my mind

Tearing me apart, crying from behind

“Why should I let them decide?”

Everything’s changing and beginning to collide

It’s my life for it’s not theirs

Yet it seems they are the heirs

I respect opinions, all that they can say

But please hear my pleas and don’t ruin my day

I do learn in all your teachings

But still it’s my duty face the trials it brings

For me to know if I’m learning

To do my best to the things that I will be facing
