Take Me Home

Take Me Home

A Poem by The Concept of Completely Lacking Something
"

Just a song idea that came to mind as I was thinking.

"
I'm getting tired of
this old town and I'll
stand and watch it burn
if you'll cradle me as you
take me home.

I've sat and waited a while,
but nothing comes to mind.
What do you think I should
do with
all the memories?

I locked my heart
in a steel box.
I wear it on my sleeve,
but somehow these people
found the key.

What should I do now
that they've found the
secret in me?
And what should I do
with all the memories?

I'm getting tired
of this old town,
and the things that remind me
of past mistakes, but what
should I do with all the memories?

I'll stand and watch it burn,
if only you'll cradle me,
as you carry me away
and
take me home.

I like it! I can almost hear it!
Like a Mumford and Sons folk rock?
Good, very good.
