I can see it

I wanted to write for a while but couldn't think of anything finally I just decided to write out whatever came to mind and it was this

do not worry if you can't see it

because I can.

It burns like a fire to me. 

Though it's unseen by you.

It will stay and follow you through life.

You will never see how it changes,

how it cringes when you raise your voice,

how it wraps around you when your sad,

or how it lights up for you in the dark.

it has been with you

longer than you care to remember 

because lately you try to forget.

It's okay if you let your memories slip

you never did let them shape who you are.

It's fine if you block out the voices 

you never listened to them anyway

and if you don't know if your lying or telling the truth

well your lies are as good as your truths anyway

but what you don't know is that it's fading.

Your killing it slowly.

I can see it die.

You have no idea that it stopped cringing when you yell.

It's used to it now.

You don't know that someday when your sad it won't wrap around you

instead the cold will sink into your bones

but you're starting to realise that it's not lighting your way.

everything is darker now.

Do not worry if you can't see it

because it isn't there anymore
