Aspire

  There are those that ask me:

       How dare I dream

            How dare I aspire

  How dare I reach ever higher and higher

    How dare I leap

      How dare I bound

         Searching for what longs to be found.

 How dare I stray so?

    How dare I fly to a celestial high?

       Or plunge into the seas searching the lowest low?

Am I really unafraid of the unknown?

      And I must ask myself:

         Dare I dream?

           Dare I aspire?

Can I even hope to reach ever higher and higher?

  Dare I take that leap?

    Do I dare challenge it all?

  Even if, at the end, it could prove a fatal fall?

  Do I have that kind of mind?

    Dare I have that kind of courage?

Or is my strength merely a mirage?

  How dare I want something different

     How dare I stray from you

How dare I?

   Yet dare, I do.

I dare to search,

   I dare to wander

Even with the chance my dreams may fall asunder.

 I dare to live

   I dare to break from this confine

 In search for what is less human, and more divine.

 I dare to uncover the unknown,

   And I dare to cherish

Even though, in the end, I too will perish.

  Maybe I'll be nameless

    in the sands of time forgotten

but rest assured,

  I won't regret the life I've begotten.

   I dare to dream,

      I dare to aspire,

I dare to reach ever higher and higher.

    

     I dare, and I aspire!
