Falling

Falling

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky

Each time I hear the sound of a falling leaf

from the old chestnut-tree

in my backyard

I think neither of

the principles of celestial mechanics

nor the law of terrestrial gravitation

nor even salvation

of my sinful soul -

I actually don't think at all:

I am simply

listening to Autumn...

Sometimes, being stoned in a paused moment of time is the best productive thing one could do in a day.

Letting it vibrate its own meaning without words, sometimes those concepts formed from simplicity are the best. Great poem.

What a refreshing point of view. Sometimes not thinking is the best thinking of all...
