Deciding to forget someone until school starts again

I'm so sick of typing love poems

While your image is in my mind

I'm so tired of thinking of you

When i know you'll never be mine

 

Summers coming

Like a bullet train racing 100 mph

My heart is speeding

Just thinking about the fun

 

Like a gazelle

Being hunted by lions

I run

Towards the sweet heat of the sun

I'm not going to wait

For it to embrace me

 

With the wonderful sound

Of children screaming in my ears

I'll play

All day

Without a care in the world

 

There's no more school

No more horribly awesome classes with you

Only the intoxicating smell

Of yesterday's chlorinated pool

On my skin

 

The warm breeze feels like a comfort

To me

As it has always been

For every summer is not the same

During each summer

I am tested for my destiny

With a different game

 

The amazing summer of fun

The horrible summer of ridicule

The depressing summer of nothingness

The interesting summer of adventures

The hurtful summer of love

 

I don't know what this one is

But I'm anxious to find out

When it's time to return to learning

I always return fresh and new

I change during those summer days

I change in numerous ways

 

My mind is cleared of the surrounding
