Ache

Ache

A Poem by Jennifer Neuman
"

For my boyfriend, who is gone for the summer

"

Where are you?

Close my eyes but I don't see you

I can feel you

Inside my soul, yes,

My heart is yours alone

Growing used to the longing ache

Of hope for you to return home

Only a week

With much more time to go

Yet I love all parts of you

And with no where for me to go

I walk in circles

Counting the days

Until i see you again

A very sad poem. A summer is forever when you are young. I'm a old man. We didn't have e-mail and computers/fancy phones to keep in touch. At least you can communicate and keep in touch. A well written poem of love and missing a special person. A excellent poem.

I really liked the "I walk in circles" because I could picture this actually being done when you're simply dying or a loved one to come home. But the 'with much more to go' and then having a line so similar "and with no where to go" confused be a bit. But the poem it self was very well done!

This is a good poem, but it lacks flow in place... try and have the meter the same with each line or a pattern.
