You Deserve more!

Every Girl does so much for the men she really cares about, be it her father, her brother, her friend, her husband or her son, but she doesn't gets what she deserves.

You sacrificed your favorite chocolates for your brother,
because his smile mattered more than that flavor.
You left your dream and got married to a stranger,
just because you didn't wanted to hurt your father.
You left your job and stayed at home,
so that your child gets the attention and love he needs.

While doing things for your loved ones,
You forgot what you deserve,
You had a dream,
You had a Life,
You had some priorities,
but you left them all.

After all this what you got,
the angry brother who bossed around,
and a father who blackmailed,
and a son who left you for a girl who he met a year ago.

But Today I tell you what you deserve,
You deserve to be the one who leads,
You deserve to be the one who gets to take all your decisions,
You deserve to get all the happiness that you give to others,
and you deserve to be loved, just like you love others.

and you deserve to be loved, just like you love others."

This is a powerful work and it is not a cakewalk for everybody to depict such a poignant account of most venerable creature of this ephemeral world- The Woman.
You penned it amazingly. Though it is not in rhythm, somewhere it rhymes and in other places it is in free verse; but poem need not to be bound in such rhymes. The melodious strings of your sentimental words are enough. Keep writing!
