I'm Sure

I'm Sure

A Poem by My Name is Brenda and I'm a Writer

I am sure I look good in the color blue
I am sure the moon is there even when I’m not looking
I am sure I’m not finished yet
I am sure that love is better than hate
I am sure I was born for a reason
I am sure I will never finish all my work
I am sure that fall is my favorite season
I am sure I don’t like sushi
I am sure I am wrong sometimes
I am sure I am right sometimes
I am sure I will breathe until I die
I am sure I will die
I am sure I will never bungee jump
I am sure I’ve forgotten things I should remember
I am sure I remember things I should forget
I am sure cheddar cheese is good on apple pie

I like how it starts out simple. It isn't too wordy, which sort of goes with the rest of it, the simplicity in such blunt phrases. But then, it says things that make it a bit more poetic. For example; "I am sure I'm not finished yet"

Okay, maybe that's not really how it was meant to be, but that's what I got outof it. And I thought it sounded lovely that way.

Nice job.

I guess we're all alike. I would never bungy jump either.
