Would You Save Me Then?

Would You Save Me Then?

A Poem by Incendiary Grievances

And If I told you
that I was done?
Finished?

That the cuts ran too deep
both in my skin
and my mind?

And if the exhaustion
became too much?
And if eternal rest seemed
easier?
Better?

Would you try to save me then?

You manage to stir up powerful emotion in so very few words. You do not rely on metaphor, flowery words. The message is crystal-clear, stated in the sparest, most elegant way.

Wondering if someone would let you go...Hard to ponder.

As always, amazing write.

It's simple, but has a lot of meaning and emotion behind it. I loved it! Good job.

You can feel the emotion. You can feel the sadness and grief. Great work!
