winter months

winter months

A Poem by Jessie.

cars groan on pavement,

beasts of the season.
glaciers roll down my window
voyager condensation,
my pioneer trickling ice,
tiny capsules of water.
dormant months offer obscure gifts:
tiny flakes swiftly float to safety

destined to be trampled on,

pummeled by fate--

sweet dirty slush.

confined indoors for fear of brutal gusts

sanctuary found huddled,

buried under layers of patchwork.
canniption shiver fits

put at ease

by a warm breeze.

blinding white mannah

depleted by the shining star above.
