Autumn Blues

Autumn Blues

A Poem by insanity
"

Life ain't easy when you're a tree :D

"

I wish I didn’t hear the news,

Now I’ve got the autumn blues,

When the yellows and reds,

Dance in children’s heads,

Turning to oranges and browns,

Making smiles into frowns,

As happiness drifts away,

Down the street where they play,

Hidden just out of sight,

Lost in the darkness of night.

I wish I could hear them sing,

As the autumn bells ring,

I stand stolid and weak,

Of such passage I do not speak,

For once past the winter’s snow,

New friends I shall grow,

But until that time draws near,

My arms remain clear,

While my heart lays suspect,

From all the mirrors I reflect.

Stranded from all around,

Deeply rooted in the ground,

My heads is in the clouds,

As my arms hold new shrouds,

To celebrate the day,

And the coming of May,

We all gather near,

With friends we hold dear,

To marvel at a sight so glorious,

As I stand vibrant and victorious.

This makes the reader able to feel what a tree feels like in he middle fall.
The imagery is great, and it is an amazing submission.
