Without Fajahad

When Kashif Chacha found his partner's absence.............

“Bus beta, ab tum direct dekhna mhendi mein wo bhi sambhaaltay huay nahi, balkay attend kartay huay” (Okay son, now you should be seen in mehendi directly as guest not as caretaker and controller), as the family was leaving, she came to him and told him.

“Kiya hua begum sahiba?”(What happen begum sahiba?), Kashifwas left with open jaws from insde and thas why he patted his wife and asked.

“Bachay k kaal se imtehaan shru hain, Kashif mian”(Son has exams from tomorrow, Mr. Kashif), housewife could not be defeated and thus with straight lips and narrowed eyes, she said what she wanted to say. She said strictly. She continued

“Jao beta jao, inki baton ko ziyada dehaan na dou” (Go son go, don’t keep his words in mind). And the family left

10 AM
At Kashif’s house

“Main koi Fajahad wajahad nahi senu gee, Farkhanda ko kiya mun dekhayein ge agar imtehaan mein bacha humaray chakar mein unis bees likh kar aa gaya tou, Danyal, meri behan ka beta, ussay rakh lein. Kai dafa uss ne aap ki bhi tou madad kar aai hai.”(I will not listen any Fajahad or Wajahad! How will we face Farkhanda if he would score a little less marks! Ask Danyal, my sister’s son to look after halls and management! He also helped you many times.)

“Par Fajahad wali baat tou nahi hai na uss mein.” (But he does not has perfection like Fajahad has.)

“Bus kar jayein Kashif miyan, uss k imtehaan chal rahay hain, ek tou waisay hi dou minute sey ziyada woh kitabon ko hath mein rakhta nahi hai upar sey aap ussay phir shay detay hain k beta parhai chor business mein lag ja! Yeh tou Allah ka karam hai k bacha kor magaz nahi hai warna kiya hota! Ab aap chup chaap khamoshi sey kisi aur ko zimaydaari dey dein”(Seal your lips Mr.Kashif! He has exams right now! On the other hand he does not hold books for more than two minutes and you beside him motivate him to leave study and come in business! It is the blessing of Allah that son is not stupid otherwise what would have happened! Now you give the responsibility to someone else without any argument and complains!), and the dear sweet Urdu speaking wife left the room taking the hangers of her husband’s suits.

“Mohtarma aap samjh nahi rahi ghar ka akhri function hai, Fajahad sey behtar koi nahi aur mujhe function perfect chahiye hai” (Lady of the house! Why are you not understanding the fact that these are the last functions of our house and no one is better than Fajahad and I want functions to be perfect!)

“Kartay rahiyay aap, main nahi manoo gee aur Fajahad ko bhi keh chuki hoon koi chcha wacha ki baat nahi maan ni, agar maani tou taangein tor doon gee” (Keep on saying! I will not agree and I have already Fajahad not to nod on every statement of his uncle otherwise I would break his legs!)

“Marium beta Sadiq sambhal lay ga?”(Will Sadiq manage everything, Marium?)

“jee uncle aap fikar na karein” (Yes uncle, he will, don’t worry.)
