Pupeteer

Pupeteer

A Poem by Isa Ruffatti

Puppeteer

Dear Mr. Puppeteer

Please let me down to rest

I fear I shall not rise

To society in one piece

Rise to such expectations

For them

Lady Etiquette

How sweet and foolish do I find thee

Yet Logic is not on your side

Yet your stride is confident

Why then do we strive

To complete such set of fool’s rules

That mean nothing, yet mean everything

To them

O disorder, a quality

Makes me unique

A broken road

Tricky, full of joy and misery alike

Hand in hand, they torment me

Do I have to be like them?

Darling Acceptance

My smiles turn to wails

Why?

Ackward and shy

A bit picky and insecure

But I can keep a secret

Love to the moon and back

Expressions may be my weakness

But I feel nevertheless

A bleeding heart I reach to you

I feel anger, happiness, and woe

Just like them

Dear Mr. Puppeteer

Hold me down a second

Walk beside me

Share my tears

Let me be
