Why Should I?

Has anyone ever called you immature, stupid, or whatever, just for being unlike them, or unlike someone else? Last I checked there are more than three colors in the world.

Why should I,

Bend to your will?

Why should I,

Be like you,

Being like everyone else.

Why should I?

 

Why do you think,

I try so hard,

To be so different,

When I'm just being me?

 

Why should I,

Ever grow up,

When Peter Pan,

Seemed to have so much more fun,

Than Captain Hook?

 

Why should I,

Hold my breath,

To see,

If when you speak,

Your words will be my air?

They won't.

 

Why should I,

Hold a grudge,

When you hold enough,

For more than us both?

 

Why should I,

Listen to you,

When what you say,

Is so generic?

 

Why should I,

Try so hard,

Like everyone else,

To be so different,

When we're all the same?

Why should I?

I know it's really repetitive. I'm sorry, but I really like the effect it has.

It's repetitive? NO! it gives it a great flow! I relate to it so much, this stuff happens everyday in highschool.

I love this part, because people think you try so hard when you really are just being yourself
