Blood will ring the butler's call

Blood will ring the butler's call

A Poem by Jack...
"

Serving up some horror

"

Blood shall ring the butlers call

By Jack Ivey

Step into the parlor

The fires spent, still burn

Painted in the faded tint

Nightmare shades to turn

Broken slabs of conscience

Rotted to the core

Splintered in a thousand words

Never heard before

Gears abide the grinding

Slapping to the beat

Shards of incandescent lights

Flavoring the meat

Slicing as you swallow

Whispering refrains

Caught like someone else's fate

Filtered through the shame

Dressed along the hallway

Mirrors shout their fear

There among the carpet stains

Distant as is near

Gasp for all you bother

Feast that final breath

Blood will ring the butlers call

Long beyond your death

I saw a movie once where she put glass in his food. It was horrible when he swallowed. Dramatic music moaned while blood poured from his mouth. This is creepy, creepy Jack. I went for a stroll on your pages and landed here. Perfect for Halloween! Angi~

Thank you so much for reading and commenting.
Nothing like a little blood soaked reading on a Monday morning...sets the tone for the whole week ;-) Creepy, this. Enjoyed it quite a lot, because the writing is good. Thanks for sharing this, Jack...

Thanks so much.
Usually, I don't like horror. However, this was the horror built in the expansion of thought, not in restriction. Your words did not choke the life out of the write. Instead, you used each line like an incision onto the dark corners where fear hides and let blood wet the imagination as the nightmare folded open.
Well done! I'm impressed Jack.
