Fred

 

If I had a dog

I’d name him Fred

Black, white or brown

Or a strange shade of red

Spots or unspotted

A short tail or long

I’d name him Fred

That wouldn’t be wrong

He could be big

Or he could be small

I just think that Fred

Is the best name of all

Four common letters

Four furry feet

Fred would be perfect

It just sounds complete

If I had a dog

This name I’d unfurl

He’d be called Fred

Unless he’s a girl
