Spelling Worms

Whylst righting worms up on a Paige

My speling wonders bessed it Cannes

Cross empty lynes whear furtile thawt

Diggs wholes sew deap with meening sawt.

 

I’ve bean to plaices nun do no

Wheyelst thyme keaps mezure on the clough.

Prey Gawd May won day let me sea

How otters man age moar than mea.

 

I’ve dun sew much too make them floe

The pomes eye conn jure from the deap

My gratest fish is two make plane

To yew and yew that I am sain.

 

Let knot us awl bee sow in tent

On yewsing rimes or meater phixed.

Ins Ted wee half two prays the yeers

By righting vearse just lyke hour piers.

What a delightful read! I must admit, it was hard on the eyes at first, but when I realized that that was deliberate, I started to imagine the interesting words the next line may contain.....

It is amazing how our brains work - despite our left brain, I think, screaming out at the obvious spelling errors, our right brains would rejoice in merely understanding.....and communicating......and in the end, isn't that all that matters? Often, through lofty and perfectly spelled words, we may seem to convey much, though in the end say little......isn't the message more important than the medium?

Thought-provoking writing...:)
