Words Trip Over Love, Too

My words tripped and fell,

Rolling

Slipping

Falling

Into the open air.

She rushes

To pick them up

Stuffes them

In her ears.

Who knows

That words can have so big an impact?

Who knows

That words can change someone's life?

Who knows

That someone will say back,

"I love you"?
