Generalissimo’s Garden

As I look into this cell

My mind and heart begin to swell

Mankind has finally confounded me

And thrown me here among debris

Of lies and flies where dead men cry

Our lives are lost, though still they deny

That crime and punishment once enforced

Has become a ritual, lives only to endorse

The corrupt and illusive will find there way

Sweeping the muck for power and pay

And while truth is crafted into myth

To serve earth’s masters, the grand gunsmith

Our minds and lives eventually become rushed

And our mothers’ wombs bound to be crushed

Make way for the heathen, his factory of doom

And his product’s wrath, its senselessness blooms

His reign of terror will flood our thought

A computer chip, an army bought

And in the end we will all see his power

Born from the death of life’s last flower.

'Mankind has finally confounded me/ And thrown me here among debris/ Of lies and flies where dead men cry'

Such a dark, deep rooted play of thought, riddled with truth and tragedy.
