A Ladder To Heaven

This is the 1st song I have written.

Chorus:

 

If a ladder reached up to Heaven,

I would climb it to the sky.

I would look in wonderment,

at those things that fly.

and the sun would shine in.

I would take you by the hand,

and take you home again.

 

Verse 1:

When you went away,

you really broke my heart.

A family that had been so close,

was missing an important part.

No longer would we laugh together,

there were times that we would cry.

To the one who had always been my angel,

you now reside in Heaven high.

You will always live in my memories,

my love I could never deny.

Even as I grow older,

my love for you will never die.

Forever you will be my angel,

I loved you from the very start.

Although you live in Heaven,

I think you did a good job expressing emotion to the readers in a way that they will easily understand. My only question about this song is this: is there something missing after the second "Chorus:" between Verse 1 and Verse 2? Or is Verse 2 the second chorus?
