Warmth of Treason

Warmth of Treason

A Poem by jb3
"

Poem of confusion, betrayal and acceptance

"

The adversity of the township,

is quite stunning.

Did you not know?

Didn't you know they're here,

not for you, but for your soul.

They always emerge

They will be here

They will come

They will never forget

Be brave

Don't be alarmed

They aren't evil?

They mean no harm

Intimate consideration

is perceived,

to be the depth

of all trepidation

They're here for you

to take you away

They can see

the soul of your carcass

Take me.

Take me on a trip

Let me look into your eyes,

and embark on a sinister journey

through the evil doors of eternity.

Let me stroll down the fatal walkway,

the fatal walkway of unconsiousness.

Let me twist the knob.

Let me twist the knob of sacred,

unknown splendor and unleash

the magnificent potency of the mind

You are free.

They're letting you go.

Go.

Join the voyage of the apostate

into the infinite blankness

of your soul's dreamscape
