My Rubix Cube

My Rubix Cube

A Poem by J.B. Hastings
"

A very special girl I know opened my mind one day, and I made the analogy of Rubix Cubes, and People. Read On.

"

When you work a Rubix Cube,

do you actually work it?

Or do you take the stickers off,

and place them where you want?

To say you've so called "completed" the puzzle.

Do you take people,

maybe even your friends,

and shape the way you want them to be?

But if you take the stickers off,

is the puzzle really completed?

I think not.

People aren't complete without being themselves.

The Rubix Cube isn't complete unless you work at it,

and work at it,

and work at it.

Not until you really get to know that Rubix Cube,

do you truly know that "friend" of yours.

Wow. I was looking through contests and saw the "Rubix Cube" contest and I was like, "I wonder if anybody has submitted anything." And I found yours. :)

It's completely different than anything i've EVER read before and I love the analogy of friends and Rubix Cube's. I definately would never have thought of that.

Great work! :)

Thanks for putting this up. I'm thinking I'm going to write a similar one with your permission. I just think it was such a great idea.
