TEARS OF JESUS

TEARS OF JESUS

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter
"

a simple space frame a doorway definition in my life

"

TEARS OF JESUS
walking on the beach with mother
i found a beautiful thing,
shiny black,
with many translucent red veins
glowing in the sun’s caressing light...
mother said it was a rock,
actually an agate,
a bloodstone,
the red veins she explained
are the tears of jesus,
and, thus,
i lived my life,
in this space frame
where all rocks,
are defined
as the tears of jesus...

Lovely thoughts those rocks being something tangible that a child can relate to. A beautiful quiet time of mother and daughter passing the faith. Well writen. Jan

thanks and good thought abounding...jc
I think that we take to heart and save those quaint stories that touch us in intangible ways. Who is to say why? If something brings us comfort and brings us closer to Christ, is a good thing.

thank you and be blessed this day
a wonderful story in wonderful poetic form, that reminded me of my grandmother telling me (when i was very young), never to hurt a red breasted robin because it was Christ's blood that fell onto the robin's breast to make it so... thanks for bringing me back to that memory.

Very good. I could visualize the blood red lines criss crossing the black rock.

I enjoyed the story in the poetry.
"mother said it was a rock,
actually an agate,
a bloodstone,"
You made the bloodstone have more meaning to me. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
