AGONY AND ICE

AGONY AND ICE

snow sheathed buildings
of corrugated agony
pierce the flesh of sky

i stand
a dark shadow,
a living tree alone
in this concrete forest of loneliness...

fog collects on my eyelashes
freezes into icicles,
my shadow soul flows
silently crying ice cubes,
pulsating at windows
where ice sculptures
answer with cold souled silence...

driving me back,
a bleak shadow
seeking warm caves of memory,
only to find
frozen flames...

forcing me back
into the harsh fabricated city,
to lay like a forlorn puppy
nose pressed to the frosted glass
in your world created from
agony and ice...

Beautiful! A lovely poem describing the feels of isolation that come when one is surrounded by self-absorbed strangers. I love it. Please keep sharing, dear poet.
