POLITICAL FESTINATION

POLITICAL FESTINATION

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter
"

i wish i could laugh

"

 POLITICAL FESTINATION
festinate! festinate!
politicians parading promises!
festinate! festinate!
liars literally lying...
festinate! festinate!
as mother earth's stomach churns,
and life goes on...

jeannemarie, first of all sorry it's been so long since I've reviewed, my wife has been hospitalized and I've been having a really hard time. Now, to the festination festival. I too am tired of the entire political process, from congressional inertia to DONALD EFFING TRUMP even being in the presidential conversation, Dems and Repubs equally inept and doing nothing while endlessly bloviating. I read a book years ago by a baseball player called "Ball Four." In it the author describes a teammate who had gone to college and grad school as a poly sci major. For his master's thesis he wrote a document entitled "Politics is an A*s." I think that sums up my feelings nicely. Nice to review again, you were my first out of 74 I have stacked up. Might not get to them all, but it's nice touching base with you again, hope all is well and you are feeling well. take care...dan

"liars literally lying..."
That's all there is to say about politics really. Everything we know could be a lie all because these people plot and scheme to get what they want. When it comes it voting I never really know who is the right choice. Great words!

Don't apologize...I think many feel the way you do - I feel the same. It is disheartening...

I agree.
"as mother earth's stomach churns,
and life goes on..."
Honest and true words my friends. I dislike election time. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry my dear friend.

I tried explaining politics to my two wee ones.
I was very disappointed that I couldn't say adults keep their promises.

These such topics, are the foreground of my train of thought. Thus, further increasing my ever-baffled point of views, on the synthetic "necessities" we are forced to abide by in this life. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I write about quite similar things, I would love if you wouldn't mind reviewing my poem "Fight domestication, NOT WAR!" and letting me know what you think. I'll definitely be checking out your other work.
Please, and thank you

nothing really changes in terms of politics: each party makes promises while running each other into the dirt...I don't follow American (or any other country's politics) because I can't even stomach the politics here in Canada...but I really like your poem and applaud your stance...well-done, Jeannemarie...feel free to stand on that soapbox any time :)

politics is not about politics anymore, why else would we have a Trumped up celebrity view of what is right and what is wrong with this country...
