inWORDS Spring out

A Poem by jeRRy.whaLLey
"

while laying out the recycled soil at my Garden at the Community Gardens

"

wallowing in soil
spread amongst the
gardens growth

a beetle bumbled
in the mud
carrying rainbows

through fresh spires
stabbing for the sky

spring sprouts out
spring out
spring

where earth meets air
the edges there
where ocean meets

time
a wave toward
an ever reaching

out with
rainbows on our backs ...

I love the alliteration in the above lines, and the memory of younger days it brought back to me. Beautifully done. your words blend both hope...and a hesitation...

Hey Jerry, it is that time of year, probably more so there than here, when Spring gives hope of warm days and joy. A lovely reflection of hopefulness, for something greater than ourselves, that is a small part of eternity. Cheers! Rob
