Ending My Own Defeat

When one leaps into flight, life and death are the same thing.
Letting go of the ground to fall and remember how to feel,
Every bit of soul screams to healed.
Every fragment wants a second chance,
But life only passes by.
How can I trace the ending of my defeat?
Maybe the day will come when I wake anew,
When the morning isn't a manifestation of the past.
To see with eyes wide open,
So open to all the world that they suck it all in, and are never fulfilled.
I hope even when I am old and broken,
That I will never learn to grow a mask and will let things drift through my blood stream into my heart.
I promise myself never to stop being human.
Society cannot capture a filthy individual like me,
I will never clean off my true self to please others,
I shall always please myself.
