I regret to say I didn't watch the video but I loved this all the same. I interpreted this religiously, because the narrator seems to be rather all knowing and wise such as The Lord. I think I agree with freedom only being found within oneself. In reality one can only be free to such a certain extent and this isn't a bad thing nor is it particularly good. I love the repeated line, 'One day you wake up to the sound of truth and it shakes you'. Something that will be left from this poem inside of me. This left quite the impression on me, thank you for sharing.

Lol yeah and it's coming from someone not within the norm, so the fact that I relate to it speaks volumes. Definitely different from the mainstream stuff that would make a visionary like me yawn.

I believe everyone is individual but there are certainly those who are more in touch with themselves and their authenticity makes them more unique. I know what you mean about mainstream, the problem is that the material comes from a place of knowing what makes it or sells and then theres no meaning or worth.

Yeah lol any type of art is literally worthless in the eyes of the media. Liking for art is a subjective opinion, so usually the authors, poets, artists, and musicians that make it, make it because someone important liked their work. The only reason books even sell is because they get published by a mainsteam company. Worth of art is based off of the opinions of important people, and then the masses follow.

This poem really spreads a good message, and it is to simply have fun in life! People get so tied down with stress that they forget to have fun and take some risks. Sometimes all you need is a little push from the right person and your life could completely turn around for the better. And even if the person who helped change it for you is gone, the end result still remains. A good reminder that we only get one life to live, and each should be lived differently than the one before. A great write :)
