Five Senses of the Broken Heart

Five Senses of the Broken Heart

A Poem by jemaral

It hurts to see your eyes that gaze through me

As they look upon he whom I will never be

It hurts to smell the scent of you hair so well

As it flows, cravings of my heart it quells

It hurts to taste the bittersweet things that could have come to pass

Memories that will never be through the looking glass I see

It hurts to hear your voice that is so clear

Words so sweetness I have longed to hear

It hurts to feel your touch Oh so real

The tenderness of your skin I long to feel

It hurts to love a love like you it hurts to love a love so true

But if you ask me if I love you then I truly do.
