please comment honestly about the poem. i'm considering using it for a portfolio, so i need constructive criticism.

I was originally going to write a story

The length of a novel

About my loss

but there are not enough words or pages

To describe the thoughts

Once i was whole

then slowly, slowly

Without knowing i sacrificed a portion of myself for

Temporary pleasure

Now the me who i once was

Is gone

How do you deal with knowing you will go blind

I haven't seen enough

And i regret

As the world fades away.
