To Love A Narcissist

Today's view of a long and drawn out 3 year battle loving a freak of nature!

I love him out of habit

A cruel dependency

Thinking that I need him

Has cost the whole of me

 

Wondering what he’s doing

Takes all my time and thought

A codependent nightmare

Is what I call my lot

 

Narcissistic B*****d

His mode of operation

He punishes my comments

To fuel his sick creation

 

If ever I make mention

That I’m dissatisfied

He’s the one insulted

I’ll be the one who cried.

 

When things are going well

His comments are aloof

His sarcasm is "joking"

And I’m the stupid goof!

 

If ever I get saddened

By all this disregard

I find myself in hiding

Crying in the yard.

 

As long as I keep quiet

My thoughts and feelings nil

I manage to survive him

This Love I want to kill.

 

There will come a day

When I will crawl away

But not before he’s done with me

His victim and his prey.

Bottom of the fourth stanza, looks like you missed the word "one" in the middle of the phrase. Beyond that, this is freaking excellent. The flow is flawless, even with a variable meter, but the variation is barely noticeable. So that's just excellent. Very, very good.
