There you lay on my window sill

There you lay on my window sill

A Poem by Jessica Green
"

About a bunch of roses decaying on my window sill, thats all

"

A formidable smell of rotting nature

there you lay on my window sill

Your famished body of dry harsh remain

its bristled out limbs deceased and unkept

there you lay on my window sill

You bathe in a pool of rank sour fluid

Its yellow tinged rim of arsenic infusion

there you lay, poisoned, on my window sill

Your once delicate skin of stunning demour

its elegant curves of untimely beauty enriched

in the colours of richest rouge

The sunlight envied you, now it neglects you

as you sit there on my window sill

Curled back inwards into the making you

Swamped in the stained blood cocoon,

unloved and bruised

I love your talking about the death of the flower that once was beautiful .. exploring the dark side of the flower and it's death ..shows how life is fleeting and short lived.. and even the beauty of it wont keep it alive....
Great work on this :) nice one :)

This has wonderful imagry. I have always loved description, especially in poetry, because poetry just seems so simple, yet is hard to write. You have a natural talent for using words.
